#SurfTrip36 was a special trip. Not only was it our biggest group to date, it was also the first time that we partnered with a Yoga oriented group leader.

While surfing has always been at the core of what we do, we’ve also always combined it with Yoga.

Yoga holds a special place for us, because ultimately it’s Yoga that’ll enable us to do what we do (surfing) for the rest of our lives.

Even, now, at a relatively young age still, Yoga allows our bodies to do so much more than it would otherwise be capable of.

We started #SurfTrip37 with a drive-through of the spectacular Cape Peninsula enjoying some of nature’s most breathtaking views…

We then headed into the Hemel-en-Aarde Vallei (Valley of Heaven and Earth) to sample some local wines, before cruising into the semi-secluded Garden Route and the magic of Buffels Bay.

And Buffels never disappoints us! We scored some fantastic surf, perfect for learning, progressing into the line-up, and ultimately ripping! Buffels really is a surfer’s dream come true!

We also combined our daily surfing with several excursions and explored all the best adventures the Garden Route has to offer.

And no Garden Route Surf Trip with Unravel Surf Travel would be complete without visiting The Surfer Kids, a non-profit outreach initiative empowering some of the area’s most impoverished children through surfing.

We had the unique opportunity to assist The Surfer Kids’ Surf Instructors with a day of surf coaching and fun!
